One of my new favorite toys!

I am discovering just how amazing Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio really is. The neatest thing about it is you can download stamp sets, or paper and use it with Adobe Photoshop instead of having to buy the entire Digital Studio. I loved the stamp set, Vintage Vogue but it just wasn't in my budget so instead I bought the download for $3.95 and now I can use it to make cards, scrapbooks, and calendars. The other really great thing is once you have an item it never goes away, so Mellow Moss, Ballet Blue, Barely Banana, and Close to Cocoa you are here to stay. You do have to purchase the downloads from my online store if you are interested. Here is a scrapbook page I made on MDS using the Sweet Pea DSP. Here is a card I made using the Vintage Vogue stamp set.
And the inside of the card...

More Summer Mini Swaps

Marty has been in Japan the past week so with being a single mother I haven't had time to stamp much to my dismay. So here are a couple other cards I received from the Summer Mini Swap I participated in. The first one was created by Pamela Staples. I would have never thought about buying this stamp set but she just might have convinced me. I think this makes a great masculine card.
The next card was created by Sherri Eddleblutz. I think this is a beautiful card again using a stamp set I wouldn't have thought about buying. She used the Smooch Spritz which I recently put an order in for. I think it definitely adds a lot of character to the card.

Finally the last card for today is probably my favorite that I received in the swap. I think the stencils that Stampin' Up has started carrying are beautiful and again she used the Smooch Spritz. This card was done by Donna Rogers.

Summer Mini Swap

Here are three of the cards I received in the Summer Mini Swap I participated in. Here is a card by Tina Taves using both the Go, Graduate stamp set and Happy Grad single stamp. I really liked the window sheet peek-through.
This next card is by the host of the swap, Loni Spendlove. She used the Elements of Style stamp set.

And this last one is using the Elements of Style stamp set again. It is done by Debbie Greuser.

Just Playing Around

Here is a card I made while playing in my stamp room. The card uses the masking technique. The cardstock used is Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Rose Red. I used the Fifth Avenue Floral and Kind and Caring Thoughts stamp sets. The buttons are Rose Red as well.

Summer Mini Card Swap

A few weeks ago I joined about 50 other Stampin' Up Demonstrators in a Summer Mini Card Swap. Each demo was assigned a stamp set from the new Summer Mini Catalog and had to make 24 cards. Then a host exchanged all the cards for us and within the next couple days we recieve a package of all different cards back. I was assigned two spots, the Go, Graduate stamp set and Favorite Thoughts stamp set so I received 46 beautiful cards back. Here are the cards I made.I used many of the past in-colors that will actually become offical colors in the new Idea Book and Catalog; Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, Wild Wabasi, and Tangerine Tango. The stamp sets are Flight of the Butterfly and Favorite Thoughts, and I used the butterfly and scallop edge punches. Marty helped me punch out all the butterflies... didn't he do a nice job?!
Here is my second card using the Go, Graduate stamp set. I used Real Red, Whisper White and Sahara Sand cardstock. A textured plate was used to make the dots on the Sahara Sand paper and I love the way the ribbon looks on this card. I colored the graduation robes using a blender pen with the ink on lid technique.

Playing with My Digital Studio

So as I mentioned yesterday I am trying to get certified in My Digital Studio. It involves watching webinars, taking quizzes, and designing certain things. Here is a scrapbook page that I created of my "little man".

New Addition

On March 11, 2010 we welcomed the birth of a son, Steven Patrick. He quickly became the light of my life, but man does he keep me busy. Everyonce in a while, he lets me set him down in his vibrating butt chair and I go to work designing and creating some new cards. I have also been taking a class to become certified in the Stampin' Up Digital Studio and learning so much about it that I will share with you later. Here is card I made a while ago. Everytime I take it to a craft or vendor show I sell out of them.
Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Seseme Street? LOL! These characters are strictly made from punches, the scallop circle, 1 1/4 circle, 1/2 inch circle, 1/4 circle, and small oval punches. YoYo Yellow and Brillant Blue make the perfect Cookie Monster and Big Bird and both are retiring. I definitely stocked up so I can keep making this card.

Some quick cards!

I love the Close to a Memory stamp set and use it for much more than just sympathy. But here is a sympathy card I made the other day. I used very vanilla, baja breeze and some retired dsp. I think it turned out pretty good for only having about ten minutes to work on it.

One of my favorite stamps is the Medallion. I find myself using it for many different thmp set which waings. For this card I used it with Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, and Whisper White. The Vintage Labels stamp set which was a part of this year's Sale-a-Bration was also used.
I was in desperate need of some masculine birthday cards. Here is one using the Happy Moments Sale-a-Bration stamp set. I used Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, and Whisper White. I used a blender pen on the lid of the matching ink pad lids to color in the presents.
