Some Oldies, But Goodies

I spent the day today at my mom's where she played with Steven and my niece, Reagan, so my sister and I could get some quality scrapbooking in. For some readon I couldn't get in the mood, so instead punched out some material to make some rag bags. I have been trying to convince my mother-in-law for years that she needs to get into the business of making purses with no success so I am going to try and break out and make myself one. I have never sewn before so hopefully it will turn out okay. Stayed tuned, hopefully I will post it by Tuesday.

I didn't have any time to make a card today but the other day made a couple that I didn't get around to posting so you get them now.

Christmas Scrap Page

Steven took his nap at my mom's today so I could play on My Digital Studio. My internet out here in the boonies is too slow for me to send my pages to the professional printers so it is either print from home, or scrap at my mom's where there is a built in babysitter. I got the idea from this page on the Digital Studio website and changed it up a bit. It took me about 2 hours to do, but I think it was worth it!

Welcome to the world little Luke!

A friend of ours had a little baby boy yesterday. She wasn't due until the 20th of February, however Luke decided he wanted to meet his family early. He and mom are doing wonderful. Steven and I had a busy day today, however I had to find five minutes to make little Luke a card. Here is a quickie for today!

Many of you know for Christmas I made my mother a scrapbook of the grandkids. She loved it and the best part is every holiday now we can just give her a couple more pages for her book. Here is one of the double spreads I made of my niece Reagan.

I really love playing with My Digital Studio. If you are interested in checking it out let me know. I learn new things everyday that I play on it!

90 Cards in 90 Days

So I am a part of an email list serve where a lady was advertising a new program to her fellow customers and friends. She challenged them to make 90 12x12 scrapbook pages in 90 days. She offered themes for each week to give them starting points and they would earn points for each theme as well as check in point that they participated in. I thought this was a really neat idea! Though, I don't think I could accomplish 90 pages I thought it was a great goal to go for. I decided to challenge myself to 90 cards in 90 days. So, hoping that my internet cooperates I will try to post 90 cards within the next 90 days. Think I can do it?

Two Cards One Style

Steven crashed at 7:45 tonight so I had some time to play in my new stamp room. These cards took about five minutes to make. Trying out some of the new buttons and flower brads today. I used Funky Four and Heard from the Heart. The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive.

Saleabration Card

My husband's birthday is tomorrow and he complained for the past two years that I always buy him a card instead of making him a special one. This year in honor of him turning 36 I decided to make him a "wise old owl" card. This owl is from a new Saleabration stamp set that will be available beginning January 25. It is free with a purchase of $50 or with a workshop of $300. It coordinates perfectly with the owl punch from the Idea Book and Catalog. I used Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, and Bashful Blue. The 1-3/8 circle punch and Messages for Mom stamp set. He doesn't get it until tomorrow, so don't tell him!

Stampin' Spot Up and Running

Finally my Stamp Room is finished for now. It was so much fun to organize, purge, and find a place for everything. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think? We had a fun time at the free Openhouse on Thursday. Will be having another one on January 17 from 10-3. Bring a sack lunch and join us for a free day of stamping.
I love this new paper sorter one of my husband's friends made me. It is amazing and holds the paper so nicely. If you are interested let me know. He will make it to your desires!

This is the view of the walk in closet.
